Why Most Personal Trainers Los Angeles Don’t Want You To Eat Bread:

Fitness Tips From los angeles personal trainer Leon Lavigne…

So many times I’m asked “why can’t I eat bread…What’s so bad about
it?”

To answer your question let me tell you a story of a day (hopefully)
in your near future.

Lets pretend for fun that you’ve just won the lottery and just
purchased the exotic sports car you have always dreamed of owning.
Mines a black Ferrari F-430 in case you are wondering.)

Anyway, before you take your new hot rod out for some high speed
action, you notice that your fuel is low so you pull into the gas
station to put in some gas…

Now what kind of gas do you put in your dream machine: the cheap
grade with possible impurities and the gunk in it that could shorten
your engines life and make it run poorly…
OR
the premium clean grade that the factory recommends that will make
your car run, strong, more powerfully, and for a long, long time?

You see, when it comes to cars, people usually have no problem
putting in the right kind of fuel, because they have instructions
right on the gas cap “premium grade only”.

When it comes to the bread we eat, usually its a different story:
They want something quick, easy and with little regard to how long
it takes the body to burn it up. (or any gunk it might leave behind)

The biggest problem people make in regards to breads and other baked
goods is that they don’t avoid products that have wheat flour in them
(I try to avoid flour of any kind for that matter). Products that
have wheat or white flour usually cause bloating, and can make it
frustrating if you are trying to lose weight.

Thank goodness, there is one quick and easy solution that pretty much
solves the problem of what to make your turkey sandwiches out of:
Sprouted wheat bread.

Sprouted wheat bread digests much slower than other breads and will
provide you with much more of a sustained release of energy than
other kinds….No bloating…just pure energy and lots of fiber to
boot!

So the next time you are in the bread aisle at the grocery store,
look for the brands that have sprouted wheat and do not mention flour
in the ingredients. If you are having trouble finding one… just
look for the loaf that feels like you could break a window with it
:-) Or shop at a more “natural” grocery store…where they have plenty.

Tips On Skin Care

If you’ve been trying a number a facial cleansers, toners, and topical creams for acne skin treatment or body care, chances are you haven’t quite found the right product for you. Here are a few suggestions that may help you to find the best skin care–at prices that you can afford. The first thing that you’ll need to do is determine what type of skin you have–many times, the products that are popular on the market may not be best for every skin type. If you are looking for acne treatment and have dry skin, you should use products like salicylic acid, since it is not as drying as benzoyl peroxide. If you have oily skin, glycolic acid (which can be found in some facial toners), is best for you, since it creates fast cell turnover and helps you to fight breakout’s.

With a combination of dry and oily skin, the most effective treatment should include natural organic herbal products such as lavender oil, tea tree oil and witch hazel. As a facial cleanser, use lavender oil to gently remove dirt and excess oil from the skin without the harshness that strips it of its natural oils. Use witch hazel or tea tree oil as a toner to fight impurities and clear blemishes. Maintaining the proper skin moisture balance with organic herbal skin care products and supplements naturally cleans the skin, removes bacteria, tones and moisturizes to leave the complexion clear and clean even with sensitive skin.

sensitive skin care may be bothered by other products as well. People with sensitive skin have to be as mindful of the health of the skin on their bodies as they are the skin on their faces. Hair and body care products should be just as gentle as facial care products, and preferably organic. The organic ingredients used in shampoos, laundry detergents, and cosmetics are generally mild and safe for sensitive skin. A few natural products, such as essential oils like lemon and tea tree oils, can cause irritation if overused or used too frequently. If you plan to apply an acne treatment, toner or moisturizer, you might want to skip a facial cleanser and just give your skin a good rinse before applying your cream. Otherwise you might strip your skin of moisture and make breakouts more likely. If you wear makeup, you can use cold cream or a makeup removal cream that is designed to thoroughly clean the face and prevent clogged pores.

Guinot Skin Care Products

Remember that these suggestions are designed for men’s skin care also; witch hazel and chamomile are increasingly used for shaving cream, facial cleansers, and other men’s products. Body care products are also devoted to various types of skin nowadays — it is probable that you will discover ingredients like oatmeal and avocado in dry skin body washes and moisturizers, and body breakout’s are treated by products that contain salicylic acid. If you would like more suggestions for caring for your skin, check out guinot for a range of products that should cater for your needs.

Increase Flexibility and Build Muscle Mass with Kettleball Training

While kettleballs have been around for over a century in places like Russia, their use was not widespread until recently. In America, kettleball training is virtually exploding, thanks to some very unique results that you can achieve with kettleballs. For anyone looking for muscle weight gain, kettleballs make a versatile addition to your conditioning routine.

Kettleballs resemble small bowling balls with large, thick handles. They come in various weights from around 4kg to 35kg, but the heavier weights aren’t used often, as kettleball training focuses more on conditioning, explosive strength, and movement, instead of sheer strength.

The beauty of kettleball training is their versatility. In one short workout you can accomplish a number of objectives. Some of the many benefits you’ll gain from kettleball sessions include:

  • Strength improvement
  • Explosive power improvements
  • Increases in your conditioning level
  • Improved range of motion and joint flexibility
  • Anaerobic conditioning gains
  • Core strength gains
  • Balance and stabilization improvements

And I’ve saved the best for last: kettleball training will boost your metabolism for almost a full day after a workout is over, making kettleballs ideal candidates to help you build muscle up and shed fat.

Kettleballs do have drawbacks, however, but they can be overcome. The one cited most frequently is that kettleballs only work for core and upper body conditioning, and not your lower body. To make up for this you’ll need to pair your kettleball session with a solid lower body session, or perhaps even a quick high intensity interval training (HIIT) routine.

Keep in mind that ketteballs will work best in interval-based workouts, so traditional body building routines aren’t the best fit. However, if your goal is to build muscle up and you stay abreast of advances in exercise science, you’re probably aware already that traditional body building exercises aren’t the most fitting option.

With the many benefits that kettleballs offer, they should be added to your workout session, provided that your workout already emphasizes recent experience in fitness science and is a good fit for your goals and body type.

Bodylastics: It works on Muscles, Not the Joints

I have been looking for an exercise product that provides versatility and results, but is still easy on my joints. For years, I have paid gym memberships and done religious workouts. Then I computed my yearly gym membership payments and the total amazed me! I could invest in an exercise product, and actually save money.

My search was on!I considered Bowflex and some other similar products. They were all cumbersome, and very expensive. A few friends had already made the purchase.I tried out the products to see what they can really do. And found out they don’t provide what I seek.

Stores out, Internet in. I searched for ‘resistance bands‘, at least to keep my muscles toned while seeking that elusive ‘perfect product’ for my own personal gym. Then I came across something: “Bodylastics, A home gym exercise system”, it said. When I clicked on the site, I was baffled.A ‘home gym system’, and it was just resistance bands!!?? “Yeah….Ummm..well,” I mused, looking at the site.As I was about to give up, I found them, the magical phrase, “Easy on the joints..” tough on the muscles.” That was just what I had in mind, but how could that be possible with just a resistance band?

Unbelieving but wanting to find answers, I read on. The site touted that this little exercise band could provide over 140 of the top gym exercises.Demo pictures proved the statements. But it also said the band was not a single-feature product. It can give 15-94 various tension strengths that make up the system. Perfect to gradually increase the difficulty of the workout, without buying additional weights.

So I thought it is worth a try with the $49.00 price.95, and try it out.I have spent way more than that for gym use that did not totally satisfy me. If it works, I will have saved the 20,000 dollars that I was going to spend on a traditional piece of home gym equipment.

So I bought the Bodylastics and have been at it for these past three months. All I can say is: “Wow!”

Amazing how a little product that can fit in a drawer develop results similar to gym-based exercises, yet be so inexpensive almoost everyone can afford it.Now I feel stronger, my muscles felt more toned, I got rid of extra weight, but my joints are not hurting.

The momentum created, when lifting a free-weight , actually damages ligaments and tendons. But Bodylastics exercises do not stress joints, tendons and ligaments because there is no weight inertia created. So on travels, I take along my total home gym exercise system with me in my bag.No must-go-to-the-gym-to-work-the-fee compulsion for me now. Best $50.00 for the best gym exercise system ever!
