For many years I exercised foolishly. I did 100′s of crunches and hours of cardio, yet I never got the results I was looking for. Why is that? Well, first I believed a lot of myths about weight loss and working out and didn’t have a clue about my own body. Secondly, I used a lot of get- fit- quick machines, diets and fat burners that didn’t work.
What most people are unaware of is the fact that ab exercises alone will not help you lose stomach fat and sculpt abdominal muscles. Lots of crunches and sit-ups don’t cut it.. I only just realized this in recent years and it’s made all the difference in the shape of my body and losing weight. The principles that I learned helped me lose over 70bls in 6 months after my first child was born.
If you didn’t know by now, one of the secrets to getting nice abs is fat loss. I believe that most people see fat loss as consumed calories versus spent calories. If you burn more calories than you consume you will naturally lose weight and fat loss will occur. This is only part of the story.
I’ve learned over time that certain exercises will burn more fat than other exercises. Similarly, some foods tend to burn fat at a faster rate than other foods. Once you learn some simple fat loss rules you can get results in less time.
Recently I was finding that my old workout routine stopped producing the results I wanted. Eventually you hit a plateau or in my case you start to put some more weight back on because your body gets used to the routine.
To continue through a plateau and increase your body’s fat burning capacity you must change your workout and the food you eat. As I was looking for something new to try I discovered the number one program for abdominals on the internet. I decided to check it out and because the program was inexpensive I decided to try it.
Surprisingly, in the first week I lost an inch in my mid-section after I started the program. The muscles in my thighs also looked better and more defined. Initially I was surprised that the types of exercises in the program could lead to better abs, but after seeing the results for myself I have to agree with what this book teaches.
