Free Online Poker Tips – The Two Types of Texas Hold’em Players

Whatever type of poker you are playing, maybe its free online poker, pay poker or poker with friends, there are two types of players when sitting at a Texas Holdem table, the ones who play the cards and the others who play the player. So, which type of play is best? And how do you know if you are playing the right one? Well, in my experience, I try to play both.

After a few years of playing the game and learning how to figure out and know the “outs”, hand percentages, etc., it did help my game tremendously, but not nearly as much as I had hoped. What I did not factor in, was the style of play by others. Playing the player is a strategy that should not be overlooked.

Many players will play nearly any cards dealt to them. Bluff out the table to take in the pot. Other times just plain get lucky and “donk”. After all it is poker and any 2 cards can typically win a hand.

The question some may ask is how do you play a player. The simplistic answer is to observe and study how possible opponent’s play before you attempt playing a player. Spend time watching their style, when they bet, how much, do they reraise often. This can be quite time consuming but can be very educational and helpful when you are ready to sit and play against them.

So, is this going to make you win? Not all of the time, no. You are still playing poker and its all about luck and skill at the end of the day. No matter how great your poker skills are, you are not always going to win. But in the long run it will vastly improve your chances of winning against this type of player. You may not win every hand or every time, but you will win more than just playing your cards.

Good luck with these tips and I hope to see you at the free online poker tables soon!

Best Guide Where to Play Poker and Free Online Poker

We often talk of strategies, against whom people we have to play, which tournament we have to play … but the most important thing is where we have to play poker games and tournaments and do we play paid or free online poker.

If you play in person, I think it’s best to play against friends or acquaintances. You know they are trustworthy and they aren’t cheaters. Personally I prefer not to play in a casino because they get a large part of the pot and commission.

Internet online poker is another option, and my option of choice. There is an infinite number of players and many choices of poker room.

I will divide rooms between free and paid, not including those that play purely for fun and are 100% non profit. We want to win some money after all!

Here are some things to check to make sure the room is good:

The payment: the vast majority of these rooms have quality certificates and security certificates. Be sure your choice does. Read the small print too to understand what is involved with deposit and how and what is involved in withdrawing money.

Are the games played enough for you to win? In real money games the room must run a rake and take a small part of the pot. Tournaments take a commission and there is a minimum number of participants to do them profitable. Does the room have enough members playing at once in the games and tourneys you want tom play to make it worthwhile? You should be able to see this easily by keeping an eye on their poker games software where numbers of players are shown.

Most sites will offer an attractive sign up bonus. Obviously this is paid with money from other players and there will be many conditions for the use and withdrawal of money . Make sure you read and fully understand this. Some rooms are better than others. Its key to remember that wherever you choose to play, the casino or site will always win, however some do it nicer than others.

If I am playing pay poker then I spend most of my time at Titan Poker, however if I am playing free online poker the I head for NoPayPOKER.com. NoPayPOKER.com even give you $25 US to play with when you join, and there is no catch as long as you spend it at their site.

If you’re new to poker or don’t want to risk much or any money or just play fun poker then free online poker non-payment rooms are the ideal alternative: they get their money from advertisers, donations and not from player deposits and losses.

The only problem in these rooms is an acceptable limit of withdraw the money, which is entirely logical for the costs of proceeding that involves a payment. That’s the price you pay I guess.

Having spent time on over 30 online poker sites, I fully believe that NoPayPOKER.com is the free online poker tournaments site to play at, and Titan Poker if you want to play cash games.

Free Poker Games Guide – Let me tell you my worst experiences in the poker world

The first time I experienced a bad beat was when I was playing at free poker games site, NoPayPOKER.com. I was playing in a sponsored tourney and I had two Kings. The other player had a King and a Ten. Then I got a right kick in the teeth as two Ten’s appeared and threw me out of the tourney.

The second was also at NoPayPOKER Real Money, I was 10 10 in my hand and the flop appeared 10 6 2, I did all-in, my opponent call with him as j, the flush was not possible. But a Q and a K followed made me lose my hand.

The time after that was the worst… I had $150 in titan poker, I was playing a real money head up, the flop gave me four of a kind fives, the flop 556 and the turn was an ace my opponent all-in. I call; he showed a 4 and a 2 of spades, 5 and 6 of the table were spades. I had a 0.02% chance of losing, 1 card only saved him from a possible 45, and the worst part was that 3 of spades appeared.

The loss of $150 hit me pretty hard so I called it a day at pay poker and now I only play free poker games where I don’t lose my own money anymore but still stand a chance of winning a little cash.

I nearly gave up playing poker after my huge loss because I thought it was a game for fools. Somehow I still think it is so, but once a poker player, always a poker player. Although you only remember the bad things that happen to you, good things leave you money.

So, after all my years of playing poker, whatever type it has been, I concluded 3 things:
1) This is poker and there is no certainty in any game
2) I prefer short memories and deep pockets
3) When you lose the desire but still need to play, try playing at free poker games at places like NoPayPOKER, at least there you can scratch the itch, maybe win a bit of money while not losing your shirt!

Free Poker Guide to Aggressive vs Conservative Poker Play

There are many ways you can play poker, whether it be paid or free poker. Some players are conservative players and some play aggressively and then you have others who like to play a little of each.

This first paragraph is for all the aggressive players out there who probably play on tilt 90% of the time. This is a good way to get chips fast but also a great way to lose chips fast. The more you are aggressive the more risk you have of losing a lot of your chip stacks. It’s good and bad, be careful you don’t go broke.

The conservative players among us tend to play their game tight and only go all in when they know they have a killer hand and are unlikely to take a beat. You will also find a conservative player rarely bluffs when playing.

Now to be a complete poker player the best way to play is a little bit of both. If you play this way then no one knows what you have and no one can ever be for sure what you have. Playing like this will ensure that other players cannot read your game play, giving you the advantage. Hopefully you will be playing against players who like to just stick to one way of playing their poker.

Poker is a game of skill and luck. I believe it is mostly skill and a 10% luck. If you play the cards well you can make a lot of money but if you play bad, then you can be as broke as ever. If you’re new start out playing on free poker sites and learn before you start risking real money.

On the same note, if you have only ever played one style of poker, then its worth experimenting by playing the other style to see how well you do.

The Average Poker Players Free Poker Guide to Playing OK!

At first poker, even free poker, seemed to me that it seemed to be a first class way of losing money, until that is, my first ten player tourney at a live table where my king ten suited blew my opponents weak ace clean out of the water with tens full of kings.

Well to my surprise I won in style and with a prize pool of £50 to my £5 I was elated. Thousands of hands later and I’m back to my original stance, I’ve lost a fair bit of money but I always seem to make enough to keep playing.

I now see poker as a bit of a habit too which is easily maintained due to the many enjoyable poker sites I have listed on my desktop I do love the game and am constantly learning new approaches and ways to develop my game it’s a constant learning experience.

I do believe that online gaming is much different to live table play which I think is better as you get to feel your enemy and be there literally. I have found that the rule book to playing poker is simply the basics and to play with venom at your own pace with whatever two cards your dealt and are comfortable with.

I think is the best possible way, although a little killer poker from time to time is necessary to enable you to experience the thrill and excitement of true poker.

Now I have to agree with others that online gaming is also a great thrill and always changing with new players and sharks alike trying to make a dollar or two.

I like to play tight mostly and watch the cards unfold on the flop, as you can imagine I do a lot of folding but since I lost a bit I now play a bit loose if I can and it makes a difference to my bankroll but depletes my bankroll management. I never tire of playing poker, wherever I am playing. The more I play and learn, the more enjoyment I get out of it. My best advice to new players is to try out playing free poker online before hitting any casinos and losing a wad of your own money.
