By building the muscles in your thighs and calves, you will find that they will be more powerful in your sport and will make sports performance easy. Carry a barbell which is about half of the weight that you normally lift onto your shoulders and start your squats. Your knees should bend so that your thighs run parallel to the ground, then lift yourself back up. Do several reps and then take a break before you repeat your reps again. The more that you do this daily, the more you will find that you can increase the weight that you lift as days pass.
One-legged Jump
This is a one-legged jump that will strengthen both your legs. The length you hop should be about 20 meters, hopping as far as you can with one foot on each individual jump, until you reach the end. Switch to your other leg now. Between each length you do for either leg, take a short break. By doing this, the muscles in your thigh and calves will be strengthened day by day.
Lunges
You should be standing with your left foot 15 inches in front of your right foot. and by keeping your back straight, dip your body down until your left foot is only about a few inches from the ground. Then get back to your original position and alternate to the other side, doing reps for both legs. Once your done with on set of repetitions, rest a little before doing another. Your legs will stay strong by doing this exercise.
With these exercises, your legs will strengthen for better performance in sports. By doing each of these exercises, your legs will stretch and tighten from your hips to your toes. By doing these routines daily, your legs will be ready for the next game or event you may have.
